Nokia E7 Business Centric Smartphone

The much awaited business centric smartphone Nokia E7 is slated to start shipping on December 2010.


The giant phone maker announced the phone in the month of September. After a lot of delay it is coming to the market. This smartphone is filled with the latest Symbian^3 OS and flaunts a QWERTY keyboard along with a attractive 4-inch AMOLED display.
Other notable features of Nokia E7 are Bluetooth 3.0, an HDMI port, two cameras (a front-facing VGA cam and an 8-megapixel camera with LED flash on the rear), and penta-band 3G data radio. It incorporates a 256MB RAM, 1GB ROM memory and just over 350MB of internal storage (expandable via MicroSD).



Display and Design

Seeing for the first time or a mere glance of Nokia E7 reminds you of Nokia N8 since the external design and display are quite similar and seem almost identical. The handset has a 4″ screen with a resolution of 16:9 nHD (640 x 360 pixels) AMOLED. Further, it has been developed with 16 million colours while the display screen is capacitive touch screen. With the orientation sensor being accelerometer and the compass being the magnetometer, all present in the display interface of the Nokia E7, the handset sounds even more tech-savvy. With additional benefits of proximity sensor and ambient light detector, the user feels more comfortable in its use. With the support of full QWERTY keyboard, slide mechanism, scratch resistant surface and mutli-touch input method, the Nokia E7 is quite facilitating for its users at large.


USB, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi

As far as the internet and the browsing goes, Nokia E7 supports complete browsing of Internet web pages. The web browsing can be performed via touch control with TCP/IP support in the handset.  The user can experience supported markup languages like HTML, MP, XHTML, WML, CSS while the supported protocols ate the HTTP v1.1 and WAP.
Nokia E7 is developed with integrated home access that provides direct links to social networking sites like Face book and Twitter via the OVI by Nokia Social Client. With Class 32 integrated in the handset’s GPRS and EDGE, the handset supports WLAN with Wi-Fi 802.11/b/g/n and Bluetooth with v3.0 with A2DP, USB on-the-go support. The handset supports USB feature as well with micro USB v2.0

Camera

Nokia E7 has a primary camera with 8MP, 3264×2448 pixels, developed with fixed focus and a dual-LED flash. The secondary camera the handset inculcates is a VGA. It features geo-tagging and face detection as well. The handset supports video stabilization with 720p resolution.
